URBAN DECAY | COLOUR EDITION

I am trying to come to terms with the fact that summer is pretty much over now. It’s time to pack away the shades, bikinis and denim shorts and get out your winter wardrobe. It seems to be a thing that I see, that people are only getting creative and colourful with make up in the summer…. well not me! I can handle a splash of hot pink or sky blue at any time of the year and I am so grateful that I have palettes like the Full Spectrum and the Moondust palette in my collection. I know that I can count on them to give me the colour and sparkle that I crave during the cold wintery weather. The colours are so pigmented and they all work so well together. Also how beautiful is the packaging?!!!! To get maximum pigment I always use the primer potion, which you all know how great that is!

I love throwing colourful eyeliners into the mix too using the UD Razor Sharp Liquid eyeliners. I’m used to using only black eyeliner so they have definitely made me go out of my comfort zone and try something new and I loved it! They are so easy to use with a ‘razor sharp’ brush to help keep your liner looking clean and smooth and the like the palettes, the colours are so pigmented.
I always try and embrace my freckles in the summer and use minimal products on my skin and have light, natural brows but as soon as it starts to turn cold I am all about the bold brows, pale skin and rosy blush. I feel the All Nighter Liquid Foundation is perfect for this. It has great coverage, enough to cover my millions of freckles and I think I might be a shade too light for my skin so it helps me look even more like a vampire. I personally think this makes the colourful eye look seem even more dramatic.

Whilst I wear false lashes when I’m doing my make-up looks, I don’t like to wear them every day but I still always want that false lash feeling.  I’ve tried many types of mascaras over the years but I never seem to find one that I always go back to…. Until Perversion came along! I think I first had a travel sized one and I used it to the death so quickly, but just as I ran out I came home to find I had been sent a full sized one.  ANDDDD I was also sent its beautiful sister Subversion, a lash primer?!! I had never seen a lash primer before and I remember thinking, if it’s as good as the mascara then I’m sure it’s going to be amazing. I love that it’s not too thick and doesn’t make your lashes stick together but I love that it’s thick enough that when you apply your mascara over the top, it makes your lashes like ten times fuller!
Don’t get me wrong, I love a deep smoky eye and a maroon lip on an autumn day but I will always be a little colour fairy at heart.
