ELECTRIC INK - SKINCARE FOR TATTOOS

Many of you may think you only need to care for your tattoo while it’s healing, but it’s actually important to continue caring for your tattoos after the healing process has finished helping keep your tattoos from fading and most importantly to keep your skin hydrated. I was one of these people that thought this way until I came across a skincare brand which was specifically designed for the aftercare of tattooed skin.

Electric Ink originally came out with three products which you can either buy separately or buy all together as a set which would be great as a gift. They have recently brought out a new Exfoliating Body Wash £9.95 / 200ml, which I am very excited to try out. All of their products are vegan friendly and 100% cruelty free!!!! Currently you can buy Electric Ink directly from their website Electric Ink , also AllBeauty and is now available at Pretty Little Thing

Daily Moisturiser £10.95 / 200ml – This is great for preventing your tattoos from fading; it’s really hydrating and has UVA/UVB filters to help prevent wrinkles. I use this as an everyday moisturiser for my tattoos and I like that it has quite a light consistency so it sinks in fast whilst still leaving your skin feeling soft.
Defining Body Oil £10.95 / 110ml – Their oil mist helps improve definition, soothes dry skin and improves yours skin elasticity. This is my favourite product, I like to spray it all over while I’m in the bath and let it soak in. I will repeat this a couple of times then once I have washed and got out the bath, my skin feels and looks really smooth. Also when the weather is nice enough that you don’t have to wear 10 layers outside, I like to mist it over my arms and legs before I go out to make my tattoos look really bright and give them a nice fresh glow.
Vibrancy Serum - £12.95 / 60ml – This serum is great for enhancing colour, it evens skin tone and soothes fine lines. This is the smallest product in terms of size and weight but a little goes a long way so it can last just as long. I like to use this on problem areas that can get quite dry and is perfect for using on tattoos in those weird places, like knuckles, elbows and soon to be knees. I find the skin to be a little tougher in those areas and you it can affect your tattoos from looking smooth so it’s nice to give those places a little extra help.
